Important Summer Shipping Information 

Please be kind to your chocolate.

During the summer heat, chocolate requires expedited shipping. All orders are shipped in insulated containers so we can ensure that you receive your package in the same condition it left our production room.

For this reason, we highly recommend you choose to have your item sent 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air during the warmer months or when shipping to a warm climate. In the warmer months we only provide next day or overnight shipping to the following 13 states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas. 

During the hot summer months, we do not ship on Thursdays or Fridays to ensure that your package does not remain in a warehouse over the weekend. We cannot guarantee any package shipped when temperatures exceed 90 degrees.

Shipping timeline after package has been shipped:

Ground (home) shipping: 1-5 business days
2nd Day: 2 business days
Overnight: 1 business day.

What shipping services do you offer?

For most of the United States, your shipping options are:

  • FedEx 2Day®
  • FedEx Express Saver®
  • FedEx Ground®
  • FedEx Priority Overnight®
  • FedEx Standard Overnight®

If you are in a hot state ( Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Texas.) you can choose between:

  • FedEx 2Day®
  • FedEx Priority Overnight®

If you are in Canada, you have these two options:

  • Priority Mail International
  • Priority Mail Express International

When will my order arrive?

Track your order here with your FedEx tracking number. If orders are placed on Thursday or Friday, please expect that order will be shipped the following Monday. 

Can I customize an assortment?

Assortments can easily be customized. Find the flavors you like from our flavors page and include them in the “gift card” section when you check out.

Do you have gluten free and dairy free chocolate?

Yes, we do. All of our dairy-free and gluten-free items are below the product description. If you have any specific questions about the ingredients please feel free to contact us at info@zoeschocolate.com.

Can you provide allergy information?

Our products are made in an environment where peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, dairy and eggs are used, but those ingredients are not necessarily in each product. Please contact us for specific information.

Are ingredients lists available?

All ingredients are listed on each product you purchase. Please note that we use only fresh, natural ingredients for our products. Occasionally, tiny amounts of food color may be used for decoration only. If you would like an ingredient list, in advance of ordering, please contact us & we will be happy to provide you with one. Please specify the products for which you would like that information.

When are orders shipped?

For same day shipping, orders must be placed by 10 am EST. If your order is placed after 10:00 am EST Monday-Friday, it will be processed the following business day. Please allow an extra 48 hours during peak season for your order to be processed.

Do you ship over weekend periods?

If you are shipping a package to a warm weather destination over a weekend, your package may be held until the following Monday to ensure minimal time in transit. FedEx is our preferred shipping vendor and they do not deliver on weekends.

What are your delivery times for businesses & residences?

Our shipping companies deliver on normal business days only, unless Saturday delivery is specified. Additional charges may apply.

Do you ship internationally?

When will my order arrive?

Transit time depends on the location to which the package is shipped. Track your order [add link to FedEx tracking] here with your FedEx tracking number(s).

All Orders leave our Waynesboro facility within 24 hours of processing, subject to inventory availability & seasonal shipments. In order to ensure the best possible product, orders cannot ship over the weekend during warm weather months.

What method of shipping do you use?

Most of our orders are shipped via Fed Ex. Depending on the location we may also USPS or UPS.

How do you calculate shipping costs?

Our shipping costs are calculated by the shipping carrier according to weight and location.

How long does shipping take?

Standard Shipping Days:
Ground/ Home Delivery (3-8 business days, depending on location. Orders are shipped from PA.) Home Delivery runs Tuesday-Saturdays; Ground runs Monday-Friday. West Coast typically takes 5 business days, East Coast typically takes 1-2 business days.
2nd Day Express (2 business days)
Overnight Standard (3:00pm the next day)
Overnight Priority (9:00am next day)

What is the return policy?

We love our chocolates and we love to see our customers smile. Whether you are the lucky recipient or the thoughtful gift giver, we want to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with our products. Our chocolate is made in small batches, shipped fresh and packaged with care. Anything you get from Zoë’s Chocolate is guaranteed to arrive at your doorstep in excellent condition. If, for any reason, you are not fully satisfied with our chocolates or other items, please call us within ten days to arrange for a courteous and complete refund or replacement.

How should chocolate be stored?

The chocolate should be stored in a dry, cool place, approximately 65 degrees Fahrenheit, well-wrapped, and away from other odors. Chocolate will absorb surrounding odors.

We do not recommend refrigeration, but if you find that you do not have proper storage for the chocolate or need to hold it slightly longer than the recommended shelf life, place the boxed chocolates in an air-tight wrapper and refrigerate. When ready to use, remove from refrigerator and allow the box to come to room temperature before unwrapping to avoid condensation forming.

What is the shelf life of the products?

Zoë's Chocolate pralines & truffles are fresh products and have an approximate 3-4 week shelf life, when stored properly. (See storing chocolate above.) Other products, such as our bars and specialty items have a much longer shelf life. The shelf life of The Bar Collection is approximately 4-6 months, depending on storage. Please note that we use only the freshest, natural ingredients. Our chocolate does not contain any paraffin wax, hydrogenated oils or other preservatives.

How do I place a wholesale order for my retail store?
