Cold Drinking Chocolate


Take one tin of our European Drinking Chocolate and create holiday magic. You can easily turn our European style dark, intense drinking chocolate blend into a cold spoonable dessert or a thick indulgent cold chocolate drink that dreams are made of. How? Just follow the simple recipes included with the tin. It's a snap to do in just a minute and a “wow” to serve. Hard to believe how this magic is done? Zoe's knows the trick.

8 oz heavy cream, half and half or whole milk*
½ cup Zoe’s Hot Drinking Chocolate Mix 
1 Tsp. Cognac or liqueur of your choice, or
½ tsp. cinnamon, or
1 Tbs. strong dark coffee or instant espresso mixed into the dry mix


Place Zoe’s Drinking Chocolate mix in a bowl large enough to accommodate all the ingredients. If you’re adding dry cinnamon or coffee, stir it into the mix. In another bowl or measuring cup, heat the cream to almost boiling. The cream can be heated in a microwave or on the stovetop.

Immediately pour cream over the dry chocolate mix and let sit for 30 seconds. Stir with a whisk or spoon until cream is incorporated. Return mixture to the microwave and heat again until almost a simmer. Remove, stir in cognac, liqueur or brewed coffee, if using, and mix well.

*If you use half and half or whole milk, the drink may require additional mix, depending on the thickness desired. The more mix, the thicker the chocolate drink.
